Getting Out There Day

On Thursday 9 September, Woolgoolga Rotary Club sponsored the annual "Getting Out There Day" for Woolgoolga High School students.  Thanks to coordinating teacher John Elliott, 80 year 12 students attended and benefited from sessions on income tax responsibilities; real estate and the pitfalls of renting; financial issues including managing mobile phone and credit card accounts; legal responsibilities including drug and alcohol issues; job interview techniques including mock interviews and personal health matters. The Club is very happy to assist the young people in our community as they make that transition from school to higher education or employment and move away from home.
